The Sevilla Municipal Transport Company (TUSSAM) finalizes a new investment of 10 million euro and buys 30 natural gas buses to renew and expand the fleet
The mayor of Seville, the socialist Juan Espadas; the council man for security, mobility and major celebrations, Juan Carlos Cabrera (PSOE), and the manager of Tussam, Rubén García, presented, last Tuesday, the 30 new buses acquired by the municipal Transport company after an investment of 10.5 million euros.
Nine are on MAN and twenty-one on Scania chassis, all with New City CNG bodywork from Grupo Castrosua.
All vehicles are 12 meters long with 3 doors, low entry and with room for two wheelchairs. Among its technical features we can highlight that they are equipped with air conditioning and automatic and manual ramp
The Mayor highlighted that this acquisition brings the total of CNG buses to 60% of the fleet, coming closer to their target of gasifying 75 percent of the fleet and at the same time "achieving fuel savings in excess of 30 percent." In fact, the forecast is that in 2019 another 30 vehicles will be purchased with an investment of another 10 million euros.
