Two Dutch Transport companies add more LNG Trucks to their fleets

Koeltrans in Angeren (SCANIA TRUCKS)

Koeltrans in Angeren has commissioned the first two from a series of five Scania R410 LNG tractors. The next three will be delivered next week. In this way, Koeltrans takes another  step in their sustainable operation. With the LNG trucks, Koeltrans will be excempt from the maut (highway tolls) for the first two years in Germany, and that is a nice additional incentive.

Director Günther Maters: "We are now happy to have taken the next step towards our future and reduced the environmental impact of our operation. What that future will ultimately look like is still a question for everyone, but it is certain that things will change! The future starts today! And we want to be and remain progressive, so LNG in our fleet is a conscious choice! "" Koeltrans uses the vehicles for the distribution of fresh products such as flowers, vegetables and fruit to German customers in particular.

Vermeer Transport  (IVECO TRUCKS)

Chr. Vermeer Transport from Dongen received the keys to two new Iveco trucks on LNG. Hereby the company does justice to the slogan that is displayed on the new trucks: Sustainable for you on the road.

Almost ten years ago, Vermeer Transport was the first Dutch transport company to use Bio LNG. Much has changed since then, but again Vermeer chose Iveco LNG trucks.
Now, in 2019, Christiaan Vermeer, director of the company, realizes that the transport world is ready for sustainability. "Great Clients do not want anything else, in addition, subsidy schemes are favorable and the number of gas stations grew enormously. ”With IVECO, contact continues to be good. "We have the same ambition." Developments have evolved, IVECO has its position as market leader in the field and it possesses the necessary know-how to use LNG,  bringing reduction of NOx and particulate matter and an engine that runs 75% quieter than diesel trucks. “With the purchase of two new IVECO Stralis 400 LNG trucks and two new Daily delivery vans, our fleet now has nine IVECOs, six of which are LNG vehicles
